In case you don't remember this big violin testosterock gem, here's a taste:
"I just wanna stop and tell ya' what I feel about ya' babe
I just wanna stop. The world ain't right without cha' babe
I just wanna stop
(dramatic pause)
For your love
(sappy, caponized sax solo -- was Kenny G. around that far back?)
The most amazing thing about Canuck Gino Vannelli is he's actually a rather attractive man who could probably have made it as a second-credit B-movie actor. Maybe he did, but if he was on CTV, heaven only knows what happened to the shows. I've seen people, on trips I've made to Canada, that I was absolutely convinced died of cocaine overdoses seventeen years ago; grayer, baggier and twenty pounds thinner or heavier, but still going on with the sham of a successful career. Gino ain't one of 'em -- I have no idea what happened to him. This tune probably netted him enough that if he found a tax shelter, he could be operating an escargot farm or something. Oh, yeah -- snails love that old AM pap. They must.
